DETAILED PROGRAM

Day 1: Welcome to Vientiane

Welcome to Vientiane - the city where tranquility meets tradition, a city that whispers stories of Laos' rich heritage. You will meet our guide and driver and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 2: Vientiane city tour - Wat Sisaket - Wat Prakeo - Buddha park (B)

After breakfast, we visit important places in the capital. First, we go to Wat Sisaket, an ancient temple with many small Buddha statues. Then, we see Wat Prakeo, a former royal temple. We also stop to take pictures of the Patuxay Monument, similar to the Arc de Triomphe. In the afternoon, we go to the Buddha Park, a place with many Buddhist and Hindu sculptures near the Mekong River. These sculptures, created over 500 years ago, teach about life and the universe. We end the day by watching the sunset over the Mekong River, which is a beautiful sight.

Day 3: Vientiane - Train Luang Prabang - Ban Ouay and Ban Thapene villages - Kouangsi Waterfall- Mount Phousi (B)

After breakfast, we go to the train station and take a fast train for 2 hours to Luangprabang. When we arrive, we check in at the hotel. After a short rest, we visit villages of Lao ethnic groups at Ban Ouay and Ban Thapene. We then go to the stunning Kouangsi Waterfall, where you can swim in turquoise pools or walk in the forest. Later, we climb Mount Phousi to explore a sacred stupa and enjoy a panoramic sunset view over the city and the Mekong River. Our last stop is the Night Market, where you can buy textiles made by local people.

Day 4: Puang Prabang - Wat Visoun temple - Wat Xiengthong - Pakou Cave (B)

After breakfast, we take a short guided tour to see the city's oldest temple, Wat Visoun, with its impressive stupa. We also visit other shrines like Wat Aham, Wat Mai, Wat Sene, and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, showcasing classic Laotian architecture with low-sweeping roofs. Then, we go on a cruise along the Mekong River, enjoying the peaceful countryside and exploring Pak Ou Caves, filled with gold lacquered Buddha statues left by pilgrims. We stop at Ban Xanghai village, known for making local rice wine. Returning to Luang Prabang, we visit the National Museum (closed on Tuesdays), formerly called the Revolutionary Museum. Here, you can see artifacts, photos, and stories about Laos's historical figures and leaders, spanning from ancient times to the recent revolutionary period

Day 5: Luang Prabang departure (B)

You can join the monks' morning ritual of collecting sticky rice from residents. It's a unique tradition in Laos and a special experience. Afterward, visit a silver smith’s shop, the Fine Arts School, and the Central Market. Don't miss the market! Then, it's time to head to the airport for your departure flight
