DETAILED PROGRAM

Day 1: Welcome to Cambodia - Siem Reap arrive

Upon arrival at Siem Reap Int’s Airport, then get your luggage and walk straight to the Exit Gate where our representative is waiting. After self-introduced, you’ll transfer to the hotel in the city for check in (check in time is 2pm). Time to fresh-up and relax at hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 2: Angkor Highlight - Angkor Wat - Ta Phnom - Bayon Temple (B)

We wake up early to see the beautiful sunrise at Angkor Wat, a famous temple. It can get crowded, especially from December to March. After the sunrise, we explore Angkor Wat, taking lots of pictures from different angles. We also visit Ta Prohm, known for its big trees seen in the Tomb Raider movie. We'll take you to a quiet jungle temple away from the crowds for unique photos. Later, we see Bayon temple with its many towers and faces during the Golden Hour. Our day ends at one of Angkor Thom's gates to capture the sunset over the water. We stay overnight in Siem Reap

Day 3: Banteay Srei & Tonle Sap Lake (B)

After breakfast, we drive 35km from Angkor to visit Banteay Srei, a small but stunning temple built in the 10th Century. It's known for its intricate carvings and is considered a masterpiece of Khmer art. On the way back, we stop at Pradark Village, where villagers make palm sugar and sell handicrafts. It's a glimpse into local countryside life. We then head to Tonlé Sap, the largest lake in Southeast Asia. You'll take a boat ride and see a floating village, complete with schools and even a police station. The village moves as the water levels change, creating a unique sight. We spend the night in Siem Reap.

Day 4: Siem Reap – Battambang - Bamboo Railway Station - Phnom Sampeu Moutain (B)

After a relaxed breakfast, we travel through the Cambodian countryside to Battambang, the country's second-largest city. Despite its past with the Khmer Rouge, it still has beautiful countryside and old French-style buildings. Once the rice bowl of Cambodia, Battambang is now known for its orange and jute plantations. We then head to the Bamboo Railway Station. The Bamboo Train, created by villagers, is a basic platform on wheels powered by a small motor. We'll ride this unique train for 8km, enjoying scenic views of rice paddies. In the evening, we visit Phnom Sampeu Mountain to witness a spectacular sight - thousands of bats flying out of caves in a massive, dark cloud. It's a breathtaking experience! We stay overnight in Battambang

Day 5: Battambang – Kampong Chhnang - Oudong - Phnom Penh (B)

We leave Battambang and travel by land to Phnom Penh, which takes about 5 hours (excluding stops). Along the way, we visit Kampong Chhnang, famous for its pottery. We explore a village to see how pottery is made and learn about traditional rice wine production. Our journey continues to Oudong, the former royal capital of Cambodia. On the way, you'll see rural villages and pagodas. At Oudong, enjoy a traditional Khmer lunch at the base of the hill. Before reaching Phnom Penh, we stop at the Vipassana Dhura Buddhist Meditation Centre. Here, you can learn about Insight Meditation and participate in a meditation class with a teacher. In the late afternoon, we arrive in Phnom Penh, a city with a rich history and colonial charm, situated at the meeting point of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Phnom Penh’s Past & Present - Wat Phnom - Royal Palace - Silver Pagoda - Nation Museum (B)

After breakfast, our guide will take us on a Cyclo ride, a unique way to explore vibrant Phnom Penh. Our first stop is Wat Phnom, a Buddhist temple at the city's center, built in 1373 and standing 27 meters tall. Next, we visit the Royal Palace, a colorful Khmer-style palace constructed in 1866, and the adjacent Silver Pagoda, adorned with diamond, emerald, gold, and silver Buddha statues. We continue to the National Museum, a red building constructed in 1917, housing over 5000 art objects made of sandstone, bronze, silver, copper, and wood. Our journey takes us to the Independence Monument, built in 1954 to mark Cambodia's freedom from French colonial rule. We make a stop at the Central Market, known as Phsar Thmei, a vibrant market built in 1937 during the French colonial era, featuring Art Deco architecture and bright ochre paint. Later, we enjoy a relaxing one-hour cruise to witness the sunset on the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers, a perfect way to experience the mighty Mekong. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7: Phnom Penh – Cardamom Mountain (B,D)

Pick up by private air-conditioned vehicle (no guide) from hotels in Phnom Penh and drive to Trapeang Rung (approx. 4 hours). Coffee stop and light meal en route (on own account). Fresh up at the lodge’s lounge in Trapeang Rung before embarking for the hour’s trip over the Preak Tachan River to Cardamom Tented Camp. Settle into your comfortable safari-style tent. This afternoon goes on an exploratory hike in the jungle around the camp. The diversity of the fauna will amaze you! Get information on the conservation and protection work of Wildlife Alliance. Overnight in Tent.

Day 8: Cardamom Mountain (B/L/D)

After early breakfast, Wildlife Alliance Rangers will meet us and together with an English-speaking guide embark on patrol over a network of abandoned poaching and logging trails through the dense forest. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife. The half-day hike will stop by the Ranger Station, where confiscated snares, traps and improvised hunting rifles are on display. Use one of our kayaks, or hike back to the camp. Overnight in Tent.

Day 9: Cardamom – Koh Rong Saloem (B)

Breakfast at leisure. If you are an early riser, you can go on a self-guided hike on the trails around the camp. Around 10:00hrs board to boat back to Trapeang Rung. Meet your driver (no guide) and continue to Sihanouk Ville, which has long been a place of relaxation for Cambodians. Arrive in Sihanouk Ville we take fast boat to Koh Rong Saloem “Paradise Island”. Overnight in Koh Rong Saloem.

Day 10: Koh Rong Saloem – Free Leisure (B)

Enjoy a full day of sun or swimming in the warm coastal waters. This is the moment when the dream of going on vacation to an exotic land becomes reality. Overnight in Koh Rong Saloem.

Day 11: Koh Rong Saloem – Free Leisure (B)

Day 12: Goodbye Cambodia B Phnom Penh (B)

We farewell island and take express boat back to Sihanouk Ville. Upon arrival at Sihanouk Ville port, meet your driver (without guide) and drive back to Phnom Penh. Arrive in Phnom Penh, transfer to Phnom Penh airport for departure to next destination. It’s time to say goodbye, we thank you for traveling with us and warmly welcome you to come again.
